In short

  • The carrier-only index retrieved on 8 October 2026 lists €2.85 for domestic Croatian parcels at 2 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg. That excludes platform and preparation fees and does not establish one price for every box or Croatian carrier.
  • The checked service options show Hrvatska pošta with recipient point and home choices.
  • Measure the finished parcel and confirm the actual address and service before quoting.
  • An equal carrier amount can still produce different totals when the accepted preparation format changes.
  • AirPost is a peer-to-peer fulfilment network: online shops have their orders packed and dropped at a parcel point by verified people near their customers, who earn a fee per parcel from home. No warehouse, no minimum order volume.

The Croatian weight table has an unusual-looking pattern: the cheapest listed carrier amount is unchanged across the three points examined here. That is useful for a first budget, but it leaves several order-level questions unanswered. You still need a suitable box, the right recipient method and a sender who can use the booked service. This guide is about domestic parcels starting in Croatia. The local fulfilment page explains how a shop’s stock held with a local sender makes that origin possible.

What does the Croatian index actually include?

Domestic weight pointCarrier-only indexWith platform fee, calculated
2 kg€2.85€3.70
5 kg€2.85€3.70
10 kg€2.85€3.70
European index retrieved 8 October 2026. The final column adds the platform constant to the carrier-only amount. Neither column includes sender preparation or inbound stock transport.

The index describes the cheapest listed standard carrier amount at each weight. It does not supply a complete quote for an arbitrary parcel or identify which carrier produced each minimum. Use it to compare the stated inputs, then check the actual bookable service. The calculated column is not another live source: it simply adds the platform fee to the index amount. Keep those inclusions visible if you copy the values into a spreadsheet or share a cost estimate with a colleague.

Do not add the platform fee again to a published shipping-option amount, because that amount already includes it. Mixing that page’s prices with a carrier-only table can make two correct numbers appear inconsistent. This article uses the index for all numeric carrier figures. The service page is consulted for carrier, formats and handover features, which are separate from claiming that an index minimum is a specific retail tariff.

Does equal pricing mean any 10 kg box is accepted?

No. Weight is one limit and dimensions are another. A large lightweight package can fail a format check, while a compact heavier one may fit another accepted option. Pack your products with the protection they need, then measure the outer box and weigh the complete parcel. Do not rely on the product’s catalogue weight. Cartons, padding and multiple units can change the format you need even before the parcel approaches a weight limit.

The checked Croatian small examples list 35 × 25 × 15 cm and weight up to 5 kg. The medium examples list 45 × 35 × 30 cm and weight up to 10 kg. These are the platform formats attached to the checked options, not a statement that every product sold directly by Hrvatska pošta uses those limits. Confirm the actual selected option. A table showing the same cheapest amount does not make its dimension rules interchangeable.

What changes when local preparation is included?

Illustrative accepted formatReference preparation feeCarrier, platform and preparation subtotal
Small parcel€2.25€5.95
Medium parcel€3.00€6.70
Calculated using the same index carrier amount. Reference fees are examples, not compulsory or observed Croatian sender averages. Actual agreements can differ.

Preparation involves more than a label. The sender checks the item, protects it, prints the document and completes handover. A larger box or mixed basket can need different work and a different fee. Use the fee for the format the sender actually accepts. Do not apply a small reference fee to all parcels because the carrier-only amount happens to be unchanged. The illustrated subtotal also excludes bringing stock to Croatia, purchasing extra materials and other relevant business costs.

For a hypothetical batch of 10 parcels, the illustrated small-format subtotal is €59.50 and the medium-format subtotal is €67.00. The difference is produced by the reference preparation fees, not a new carrier price. The quantity is arithmetic rather than a forecast. Use completed or realistically expected orders when assessing a trial, and use your actual sender agreement instead of treating a reference as an automatically available offer.

Can the customer collect or choose home delivery?

The checked Croatian options show Hrvatska pošta shop-to-shop and shop-to-door services. Those names describe different recipient methods. A customer selecting collection needs an accepted point; a customer choosing home delivery needs the right address for that service. The index does not show which method produced each country minimum. Do not decide the customer promise from a weight cell alone, even when the amount looks attractive.

The sender’s handover is a separate check. The service checked here uses post-office handover, so ask about the route and opening times before agreeing a dispatch schedule. A pickup choice at the customer’s end does not prove the sender can post at any point with a parcel sign. Follow the exact booked service. If a point rejects the label, find out why with the shop or support rather than buying unrelated postage and separating the parcel from its expected tracking.

Does a country row cover every Croatian address?

A country-level comparison cannot decide the conditions for your actual postcode. Enter the destination when checking an order. Do not assume an urban, coastal or island address has identical service details because the index has one Croatian row. This guide does not invent a regional surcharge or guarantee a transit time. It asks you to use the address-level booking information rather than extend a country minimum into a promise the source does not make.

Would combining several products reduce your costs?

It can reduce the number of outgoing parcels if the actual basket fits a suitable service and can travel safely together. It can also increase the box size, protection or preparation effort. Test the complete combination. Keep units, customer orders and labels distinct in the cost model: several units can share one parcel, while one order might need more than one parcel. Do not multiply a cheapest weight amount by units without deciding how those units will be packed.

Ask the sender for clear multi-item packing instructions and confirm the boxes available. A combination that looks compact when products are loose can need more room once fragile surfaces are protected. Packing slips, variants and quantities still need checking. A short first trial can show the real format before you offer a larger basket routinely. A lower theoretical label count is not useful if the finished parcel is unsuitable or its contents are easy to mix up.

What belongs in a full local-stock comparison?

Include the actual inbound stock quote, the preparation agreement, supplied materials and a plan for unsold goods. Allocate inbound transport across orders expected to leave during the trial, rather than assume every unit immediately generates a parcel. For the stock-location decision, see shipping to Croatia without a Croatian warehouse. That guide compares origins and discusses the first partnership; this one isolates weight, format and recipient choices for an outgoing order.

How should you check your next Croatian parcel?

  1. Pack the actual basket with its required protection, then weigh and measure it.
  2. Confirm a Croatian origin and enter the real recipient destination.
  3. Select point or home receipt according to the customer’s choice and service.
  4. Check the sender’s accepted format, fee and post-office handover routine.
  5. Use the booking amount with its stated inclusions and add only genuinely separate charges.

Frequently asked questions

Is a Croatian 10 kg parcel always the same price as 2 kg?

The checked index gives the same cheapest carrier-only amount at those two points. That is not a universal tariff for every box, carrier or destination. Check the actual format and service.

Does the index include the sender’s packing fee?

No. Preparation is separate. The reference-format table illustrates how that fee can change the subtotal even when the carrier-only amount remains equal.

Can the customer choose collection instead of home delivery?

The checked Hrvatska pošta options include point and home recipient methods. Use the appropriate actual option and destination process, rather than infer the method from the index minimum.

Do I need a domestic origin to use these rows?

Yes. The rows concern parcels starting in Croatia. An individual parcel sent there from another country is a different lane, with its own quote and conditions.
