Evri ParcelShop tracking number: match the parcel to your order

Keep Evri barcode numbers, ParcelShop receipts and shop orders connected. Check what each reference proves before reporting a delay or sending a replacement.

In short

  • For an Evri ParcelShop dispatch, retain the complete parcel barcode reference against the webshop order and keep its handover evidence separately. Evri describes a 16-digit tracking number; its 8-digit delivery calling-card number belongs to a different event.
  • A label booking, a receipt and a delivery attempt are separate records. Do not replace one reference with another because it fits a tracking field.
  • For its international service, Evri says tracking starts with the driver’s collection scan at a ParcelShop, Locker or address.
  • Reconcile each physical parcel to its order before deciding whether a quiet tracking page needs an enquiry or a replacement shipment.
  • AirPost is a peer-to-peer fulfilment network: online shops have their orders packed and dropped at a parcel point by verified people near their customers, who earn a fee per parcel from home. No warehouse, no minimum order volume.

Your shop has dispatched several orders through an Evri ParcelShop. A buyer asks for an update, but the reference in your order record opens nothing useful. You have a booking email, a label PDF and something saved as proof of postage. Start by identifying those records. Trying all the numbers at random can leave the right tracking link attached to the wrong customer.

This is a dispatch-record workflow for UK online shops, checked against Evri’s published guidance on 19 October 2026. It concerns what happens to the references around handover. It does not turn a receipt into a promise of arrival or apply one support procedure to every label provider.

Evri’s tracking FAQ identifies the parcel barcode as the tracking number supplied when the shipment is booked. Keep the reference exactly as supplied by the booking system. Your webshop order number is your own commercial reference; it does not become a carrier number because you paste it into a tracking box.

Give each field a clear purpose. Preserve the original booking reference for finding the purchase, the carrier reference for tracking and the handover record for investigating acceptance. If an integration already stores these separately, retain that structure when exporting to a spreadsheet. A column simply called number makes later reconciliation harder.

Evri also explains that a calling card left after an attempted delivery carries an eight-digit number that can be used for tracking. That does not establish that every short number on a ParcelShop receipt is a delivery calling-card number. Preserve the source of the number as well as the number itself.

Where do you look if the tracking number is missing?

Go back to the actual transport purchase. Evri’s international FAQ directs senders to Order History in their Evri account and to the confirmation email. If you bought the shipment through a different platform, start with that purchase record instead. A colleague’s Evri account will not necessarily contain labels booked elsewhere.

Search using the booking date and your order mapping. Then compare the destination on the original label with the intended customer. A matching name alone is not enough when the same customer has placed several orders. Check which parcel contains which part of the purchase before sharing a recovered reference.

Do not reconstruct a reference from memory or shorten it to make a field accept it. If your spreadsheet has changed a value, return to the original document. Store references as text so an export does not reinterpret their formatting. This is an administrative precaution, rather than an extra Evri condition.

For returns, Evri publishes a separate fallback: its return-tracking FAQ permits the return email link, the ParcelShop receipt number or the parcel tracking number. Keep that advice attached to the return workflow. Do not assume it describes every outbound receipt your business might receive.

Why might the page stay quiet after you leave the ParcelShop?

Drop-off and collection are different handover moments. For international parcels, Evri explicitly ties the start of tracking to the driver’s collection scan. That gives your support team a concrete distinction: a shop can have prepared and deposited an order while the later collection event has yet to appear.

The international FAQ says a ParcelShop deposit before noon is likely to be collected the same day, while a later deposit is likely to be collected the following day. Those are qualified expectations for that published service. They are not a guarantee for every location, and they should not become a universal deadline in your domestic shipping emails.

Check the destination service and the available events before describing a parcel as stuck. You may have an incorrect reference, an order still at the packing location or a parcel awaiting its next reported movement. The quiet page alone does not distinguish those possibilities. Your own handover record is what makes the next enquiry useful.

For the broader choice between how parcels enter the network, read Evri ParcelShop versus courier collection for a small business. That decision is separate from reconciling the references after the handover has happened.

How do you reconcile a batch without attaching the wrong receipt?

  1. Start from the physical parcel list

List the parcels actually prepared, including any split orders. Compare that list with the labels purchased rather than assuming the totals match.

  2. Pair order and carrier reference

Read the destination from the original label and connect its complete parcel reference to the correct order or order part.

  3. Attach the handover record

Save the evidence available for that dispatch route. Where one document covers several items, retain a clear mapping to the parcels it concerns.

  4. Check the carrier event

Open the correct carrier link and record what it currently establishes. Keep the event timestamp separate from the time you checked the page.

  5. Resolve differences before replacements

Investigate a missing box, unused label or mismatched reference. Assign the next action to one person so the same order is not sent twice.

The two timestamps serve different purposes. A page checked this morning may still display an event from yesterday. If you store only today’s check time, a colleague can mistake it for fresh physical movement. Keep the original event wording too, especially if it describes an exception rather than acceptance.

If a buyer’s order contains multiple parcels, show the references with a plain description of their contents. The second parcel might have a different progress history. Treating the first delivery event as proof that the whole order arrived creates a customer-service problem you could have prevented in your own records.

What should a sender record when you outsource the packing?

Through AirPost’s fulfilment model, your products and packaging go to a sender who packs orders, prints labels and takes parcels to a parcel point. Stock, orders and tracking run through the shared conversation described in AirPost’s copy. Agree how the available handover evidence will be retained alongside each order.

That agreement concerns the execution record. It does not mean a sender can force the carrier to produce a scan or that every AirPost label includes an Evri print-in-store option. Confirm the booked service and its handover requirements. The person dropping off should know which parcels belong to the batch and what to report if a location cannot accept one.

For a hypothetical batch of 12 small parcels, the AirPost recommended sender component is €27.00 and the platform component is €10.20: €37.20 together. A genuinely dispatched thirteenth small parcel would add €3.10 in those components at the recommendation, before its postage, stock and packaging. Constants checked 19 October 2026; the sender’s actual fee is agreed separately.

These euro amounts isolate AirPost execution components, not Evri’s UK postage price. They illustrate why an unexplained tracking reference deserves checking before another physical parcel is released. Reprinting the same document and dispatching another order are different actions; the example assumes an actual additional shipment, without predicting the outcome of a refund request.

When does a number problem become a carrier enquiry?

Escalate with a coherent record: the original booking, full parcel reference, destination, handover evidence and latest visible event. Follow the support route for the account or platform that supplied the label. For international shipments, Evri’s FAQ directs the sender to make the enquiry and notes that updates can take several days during the journey.

Tell the buyer what you have checked and what happens next. Set a time for your own next update rather than inventing a carrier deadline. If the investigation later supports a loss or damage claim, use the appropriate claim process. Our guide for shops handling lost or damaged parcels covers that change of task.

Frequently asked questions

Where is my Evri ParcelShop tracking number?

Start with the original label and booking confirmation. Evri identifies the parcel barcode reference as the tracking number; for its international bookings, it also points to Order History in the account used to book.

Why is my Evri ParcelShop tracking number not working?

First check that you copied the carrier parcel reference rather than a webshop order number or another receipt reference. Compare the original label with the intended customer, then review the available handover evidence.

Is an eight-digit ParcelShop receipt the same as a calling card?

Do not assume that from its length. Evri’s eight-digit calling-card guidance concerns a card left after an attempted delivery. Preserve which document supplied the number.

Can I track an Evri return with a receipt number?

Evri’s return FAQ says you can use the return email link, the ParcelShop receipt number or the parcel tracking number. That is return-specific guidance; keep outbound and return records distinct.

Does a ParcelShop drop-off immediately create international tracking?

Evri’s international FAQ says tracking begins with the driver’s collection scan. Save your drop-off evidence and compare the next event with the particular service rather than promising immediate movement.
