In short
- Evri lists Small parcel Standard drop-off to a home or work address at £3.04 for 0–1 kg and £3.52 for 1–2 kg, checked on 10 October 2026. The finished parcel must fit 45 × 35 × 16 cm; collection and Next Day have separate prices.
- Customer collection from a ParcelShop has a different tariff from dropping off a parcel for home delivery.
- Weigh the sealed parcel: products, carton and protection together determine the weight band.
- AirPost’s UK rates below include its platform fee; the sender’s agreed packing fee comes separately.
- AirPost is a peer-to-peer fulfilment network: online shops have their orders packed and dropped at a parcel point by verified people near their customers, who earn a fee per parcel from home. No warehouse, no minimum order volume.
An Evri price search can produce several correct answers for the same product. A small box, a Standard-sized box, a collection and a customer’s ParcelShop delivery use different tariff rows. The useful figure is the price for your finished order and its exact route. Here are Evri’s published UK retail prices and two separate AirPost examples, retrieved on 10 October 2026. These are dated reference prices, so check the final booking before setting your shop’s postage charge.
Which Evri price applies to your small parcel?
Start with size as well as weight. Evri’s Small category allows a finished parcel up to 45 × 35 × 16 cm and up to 2 kg. A light parcel outside those dimensions needs another eligible category. “Small” in your product catalogue does not establish that it qualifies for this tariff. Measure the outside of the packed box, including any bulging sides, rather than the product before packing.
Also separate parcel category from delivery speed. Evri uses Standard both in its parcel classification and in the name of its ordinary delivery service. A Small parcel can use Standard delivery; a Standard-sized parcel can use Next Day. The table below names both so you can choose the correct row. For acceptance calculations beyond the Small category, use the existing Evri size and weight guide.
How much do 1 kg and 2 kg parcels cost to send?
| Packed weight and category | Standard drop-off | Next Day drop-off | Standard collection |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0–1 kg Small | £3.04 | £3.90 | £4.04 |
| 0–1 kg Standard-sized | £3.29 | £4.12 | £4.30 |
| 1–2 kg Small | £3.52 | £4.60 | £4.52 |
| 1–2 kg Standard-sized | £4.79 | £5.48 | £5.78 |
The larger saving is in the 1–2 kg Standard-delivery band: £4.79 less £3.52 is £1.27. For 0–1 kg, changing from Standard-sized to Small saves £0.25. That difference explains why measuring the box matters even when both parcels weigh the same. The prices describe eligible categories, rather than a discount you can select regardless of the carton. Keep the chosen category beside the weight in your dispatch record.
Does ParcelShop pricing mean the customer collects?
There are two different uses of “ParcelShop”. In the previous table, drop-off means you hand over the parcel at a supported point and Evri delivers it to the customer’s address. Evri’s separate delivery-to-a-ParcelShop tariff means the customer receives it through a collection point. A lower price for that second route changes what your buyer must do. Make that visible before payment instead of quietly replacing home delivery.
| Standard delivery example | To a home or work address | To a ParcelShop |
|---|---|---|
| 0–1 kg Small | £3.04 | £2.62 |
| 1–2 kg Small | £3.52 | £2.62 |
| 2–5 kg | £6.59 | £2.62 |
For the 2–5 kg example, the published difference is £3.97. That is relevant only if the customer wants the collection service and the booking supports the selected point. Write a checkout description such as customer collection from the chosen ParcelShop, rather than the ambiguous “shop delivery”. Choose the point through the carrier’s supported process. A shop’s street address in an ordinary home-delivery form does not establish a collection booking.
What happens when the packed order exceeds 2 kg?
| Packed weight | Standard drop-off to an address | Standard collection to an address |
|---|---|---|
| 2–5 kg | £6.59 | £7.58 |
| 5–10 kg | £6.68 | £7.68 |
| 10–15 kg | £10.28 | £11.29 |
A basket containing 1.90 kg of goods plus 0.20 kg of carton and protection becomes 2.10 kg. This hypothetical parcel cannot use the up-to-2-kg Small rate. Conversely, a 3 kg parcel and a 4 kg parcel share the published 2–5 kg band when their other details qualify. Enter the actual measurement and let the booking apply its boundary rules; do not round a parcel down to obtain the lower row.
Is Postable cheaper than Small for your product?
Evri’s address-delivery table lists Postable under 1 kg at £2.70 for Standard drop-off. Its Small-parcel page gives Postable dimensions of 35 × 23 × 3 cm. A thin product may suit that route after protection is added. A boxed order that is too thick does not qualify merely because it is lightweight. Measure the finished thickness carefully, especially where padded mailers swell around the contents.
Price is also only one difference. Evri’s prices page excludes Postable from its included £20 cover. Compare the actual item’s eligibility and the available cover before choosing a service for valuable goods. Buying an inexpensive label does not establish that the product can be compensated after damage. For an ordinary Small parcel, read the exclusions and terms as well as the included cover amount; neither a category name nor a headline allowance guarantees every claim.
Can changing the box reduce your postage bill?
Consider an illustrative order weighing 1.60 kg when packed. In a 40 × 30 × 18 cm carton, it is too deep for Small. If the same goods can be safely protected in a 40 × 30 × 14 cm carton and remain below 2 kg, the published Standard drop-off price changes from £4.79 to £3.52. The label difference is £1.27; this example does not assume any saving on the carton itself.
Account for the smaller carton’s cost before treating the postage difference as your saving. If it leaves the goods poorly protected, the proposed change is unsuitable. Test a real packed sample and record the carton reference, protection and basket quantities. A smaller empty box is not proof that the finished order will meet the category.
When is Next Day worth the additional price?
For a 0–1 kg Small parcel, the listed upgrade from Standard drop-off to Next Day is £0.86. For a 1–2 kg Small parcel, it is £1.08. Offer the upgrade when the customer values the relevant service and you can meet its handover conditions. Payment for a faster label cannot recover a day spent waiting for packing. Your dispatch promise needs to include when the parcel will actually enter the network.
Evri’s prices page describes a working-day noon drop-off condition for its Next Day aim and says the service is not always available. It also identifies a possible £2.75 location charge for some postcodes, with a same-postcode-area exception. Use the complete origin and destination in the final quote. Do not turn a dated general tariff into a guaranteed arrival date or assume every UK postcode receives the same total.
How do these retail prices compare with AirPost?
The AirPost local fulfilment page describes a sender holding a small stock batch and preparing customer orders near your customers. The postage rate is one part of that arrangement. It should be read on its own terms, rather than treated as Evri’s public Small-parcel retail tariff. AirPost’s current UK-to-UK shipping-options page showed these Evri services on 10 October 2026:
| AirPost Evri ParcelShop service | Displayed parcel format | Displayed rate |
|---|---|---|
| Small parcel, delivered to an address | 35 × 25 × 15 cm, up to 5 kg | Approximately £6.18 |
| Medium parcel, delivered to an address | 45 × 35 × 30 cm, up to 10 kg | Approximately £6.84 |
The page displays approximate sterling equivalents and says payment is in euros. Its rates already include the platform fee of €0.85; do not add it again. AirPost’s recommended small-parcel sender fee is €2.25, but the person’s agreed rate determines the fee you pay. Keep currency conversion separate from postage comparisons, and confirm the complete euro amount before purchasing.
What should you record before buying each label?
- Weigh and measure the sealed parcel, then record its eligible category.
- State whether the customer receives home delivery or collects from a point.
- Select your handover method, delivery speed and any eligible cover.
- Save the final price, purchase channel and tracking reference against the order.
For repeat orders, keep a packing recipe so another person can reproduce the measurements. Recheck bundles and changed packaging. For choosing the handover routine itself, use ParcelShop drop-off versus courier collection. That decision concerns your working day; the price decision still needs the finished parcel and the customer’s chosen receipt method.
Frequently asked questions
What is Evri’s 1 kg Small parcel price?
The published 0–1 kg Small price for Standard drop-off to an address was £3.04 including VAT on 10 October 2026. The parcel must meet the Small dimensions; extras and applicable location charges can change the final booking.
What does a 2 kg Small parcel cost with Evri?
The published 1–2 kg Small Standard drop-off rate was £3.52 on the retrieval date. Standard collection was £4.52. Use packed weight and confirm the applicable boundary in the booking.
Why does an Evri ParcelShop price look lower?
The delivery-to-a-ParcelShop table concerns customer collection. It is different from handing a parcel over at a ParcelShop for home delivery. Compare the complete route, not just the shared word ParcelShop.
Does packaging count towards Evri’s weight band?
Yes. Declare the finished parcel’s weight, including carton, mailer and protection. An illustrative 1.90 kg product with 0.20 kg of packaging is a 2.10 kg parcel.
Should I add AirPost’s platform fee to the displayed UK rate?
No. The shipping-options rates already include that fee. The agreed sender fee comes separately, and the approximate sterling display should not be added directly to a euro fee.
