In short

  • The carrier-only index retrieved on 8 October 2026 lists domestic Swedish parcels at €7.12 for 2 kg, €7.12 for 5 kg and €10.50 for 10 kg. These are cheapest listed standard carrier amounts, before platform and preparation fees.
  • The equal 2 kg and 5 kg values do not remove box-size limits or guarantee the same service for every parcel.
  • The checked Swedish options use recipient pickup through DSV or DHL Service Point.
  • Use packed dimensions, a real sender and the selected service for the final quote.
  • AirPost is a peer-to-peer fulfilment network: online shops have their orders packed and dropped at a parcel point by verified people near their customers, who earn a fee per parcel from home. No warehouse, no minimum order volume.

Weight is a useful first filter for a Swedish shipping budget, but it is not the entire parcel specification. A compact order and a bulky order can weigh the same while needing different formats. A domestic rate also applies to a parcel starting in Sweden, rather than one travelling there from your own country. This guide isolates the weight comparison for shops. The local fulfilment page explains how an agreed stock batch and sender can create that Swedish dispatch origin.

What are the carrier-only prices at each weight?

Domestic parcel weightCarrier-only indexPlus platform fee, calculated
2 kg€7.12€7.97
5 kg€7.12€7.97
10 kg€10.50€11.35
Retrieved 8 October 2026. The last column adds the platform constant to the index amount; it is not a separate live quote and does not include sender preparation.

The source is AirPost’s European shipping rates index, which explicitly excludes platform costs. It selects the cheapest listed standard carrier service at the stated weight. It does not name the carrier behind each minimum or show every available service. Do not copy the cheapest country amount into an invoice or customer promise before checking the actual parcel. A country-wide table cannot confirm your chosen point, box or exact address.

The calculated column has a different inclusion from the carrier-only column, so keep its label when copying it into a worksheet. If you instead use a real published shipping option, its platform fee is already included. Adding the fee again would overstate the charge. This article uses only the carrier-only index for numeric carrier prices; service-page features are used to explain the delivery method, rather than to mix another price basis into the table.

Why do 2 kg and 5 kg show the same amount?

The index returns the same cheapest amount at those weight points. That is all the equality proves. It does not establish a universal rate for every weight in between, every product or every set of dimensions. Your finished parcel still needs to match an available format. If adding another item makes the box too large for the service you intended, the weight plateau will not justify keeping the same booking.

Use the plateau as a prompt to test real basket combinations. Pack the items with protection, then measure and weigh the full box. A combined order could use one label instead of separate dispatches, but check whether it still fits and whether the shop can prepare it as instructed. Do not reduce protective packaging merely to reach a cheaper format. A damaged product or mismatched order can undo a saving that looked neat in a weight-only table.

What changes at 10 kg?

The difference between the 5 kg and 10 kg carrier-only rows is €3.38. It is a comparison of these two index points, not a surcharge applied to every extra kilogram. Check the format required for a real heavier parcel and whether your sender accepts that work. A higher carrier amount can accompany a larger box, different handling and a different agreed preparation fee. The index does not price those human tasks.

Do not compare a lightweight product’s fee with a heavier basket while assuming the same preparation effort. Several items may need more checking and protection, and the finished package may be harder to move. The sender’s journey matters too. A service that is economical on the label can be unsuitable for the person who must hand it over. Choose a parcel format and workload the sender has accepted before offering the basket combination to customers.

For a hypothetical mixed batch of 5 parcels at the 2 kg index point and 5 at the 10 kg point, carrier-only spending is €88.10. Treating all ten as 2 kg would give €71.20, understating this example by €16.90. Neither figure includes platform or preparation costs. This is a planning exercise rather than observed sales. Keep each actual basket and accepted format in its own row so a cheap lightweight example does not become the rate applied to heavier orders.

How much should you add for local preparation?

For a 2 kg parcel that genuinely fits the accepted small format, the reference preparation fee is €2.25. Adding that and the platform fee gives an illustrated subtotal of €10.22. The reference is not a measured Swedish average or a compulsory sender price. Use the actual fee shown and agreed for the partnership. Weight alone does not decide the preparation category.

Stock moving to Sweden is another cost. Allocate its actual transport quote across the customer orders the batch is reasonably expected to produce. Include the possibility that some stock remains and needs to return. Packaging purchases and your own administration can matter too. A local carrier subtotal is a useful line in the model, but it is not the complete cost of operating a second stock location. Keep each inclusion visible when comparing an alternative.

Is Swedish pickup priced like delivery to the door?

The Swedish options checked for this guide list DSV Parcel service point and DHL Service Point with recipient collection. Do not treat that as a universal home-delivery quote. A customer needs to know the selected method before payment. The sender’s handover point is a different part of the route from the recipient’s collection point. Both need to be supported by the actual service, even though one weight row looks affordable.

If home delivery is essential to your offer, check a current bookable service that actually provides it. Do not infer it from the carrier’s general brand or substitute a point address into a door-delivery field. Equally, a customer who prefers collection should select an accepted destination. These are service decisions rather than reasons to assume the cheapest country value has exactly the features you want.

Can you use Swedish prices for parcels sent from Germany?

No. A domestic row concerns a parcel originating in Sweden. Shipping an individual order across the border is a different lane. Local stock only changes that when products have already moved to a suitable sender and the outgoing order starts there. For the stock decision and cross-border comparison, use shipping to Sweden without a Swedish warehouse. That guide keeps inbound transport and preparation separate from the label rather than claiming automatic savings.

Should you budget in kronor or euros?

The index comparison here uses euros consistently. Swedish options can display a converted krona amount, but a conversion is not a permanently fixed rate. Check the amount at booking and keep the currency clear in your worksheet. Do not compare a krona display containing a platform fee with a euro carrier-only index value as if the difference were a change in postage. Currency and fee inclusions need to match before a price comparison has meaning.

What should you check before buying a label?

  1. Weigh and measure the finished parcel with its protective materials.
  2. Confirm the origin is Sweden and enter the actual destination.
  3. Choose a service with the recipient method your customer expects.
  4. Check that the sender can use the handover route and accepts the format.
  5. Use the published booking amount and agreed sender fee without duplicating platform costs.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 5 kg Swedish carrier amount always higher than 2 kg?

The checked index returns the same amount for those two points. That does not establish equal prices for every possible box, service or address. Check the actual dimensions and format.

Does the table include local packing?

No. The carrier-only column excludes platform and preparation. The calculated column adds the platform fee only. Your actual sender’s preparation fee and inbound transport are still separate.

Can I assume the cheapest service delivers to a home?

No. The checked Swedish options are pickup services. Confirm the recipient method for the service you actually book and explain it clearly at checkout.

Are the euro prices a fixed krona quote?

No. They are euro index figures. Converted displays can change, and the final booking needs its currency and included fees checked.
