In short
- A 5 kg parcel to Slovakia from the Netherlands costs €16.42 in the 6 October 2026 snapshot, including platform costs and excluding packing. Domestic Slovak dispatch starts at €5.44 for a regular small parcel. The table below compares 5 kg and 10 kg limits by origin and service; weigh and measure the packed box before choosing.
- The small example uses up to 5 kg and 35 × 25 × 15 cm; the medium example uses up to 10 kg and 45 × 35 × 30 cm. Carrier-specific locker limits can be smaller.
- Compare collection point, locker and home delivery separately. Prices and delivery estimates apply to the selected service, not every parcel on that route.
- For a shipment from Great Britain, check import costs and declarations separately from the label. Currency conversions on the rate card are approximate.
- For repeated orders from local stock, use shipping to Slovakia without a warehouse to plan storage and replenishment. Those are separate costs from this parcel-price comparison.
- AirPost is a peer-to-peer fulfilment network: online shops have their orders packed and dropped at a parcel point by verified people near their customers, who earn a fee per parcel from home. No warehouse, no minimum order volume.
If you want to send a parcel to Slovakia from abroad, expect to pay several times the domestic price. Slovakia is cheap inside its own borders and relatively expensive to reach, even from Germany and Austria. Below are the measured prices per origin, the shippers behind them, the domestic Slovak prices they compete with and what is not on the list.

Which shipper to Slovakia, per country
From Germany

From the Czech Republic and Poland
On 6 October 2026 our shipping options page listed no service from the Czech Republic or from Poland to Slovakia; the page fell back to domestic prices. We give no price for those lanes rather than guess one. If you ship from there, compare the carriers directly.
Sending a parcel to Slovakia from the UK
From United Kingdom, the 6 October snapshot showed ≈ £17.21 · UPS to the door for a small parcel and ≈ £19.78 · UPS to the door for a medium parcel. The GBP figures are approximate conversions shown by the rate card; import costs and declarations are separate from the label.
- Import VAT on every parcel. The EU removed the €22 exemption. For consignments up to €150 you can collect VAT at checkout and pay it through IOSS; otherwise the customer pays it on delivery.
- Possibly a €3 customs duty per item type. Since 1 July 2026 the EU charges a temporary €3 duty on parcels worth up to €150 from outside the EU, per tariff classification. Under the Commission’s guidance it applies to all IOSS imports; goods of UK preferential origin declared without IOSS can fall outside it.
- A customs declaration with every parcel.
The ways around those charges are compared in sell to the EU without customs charges.
Sending a parcel within Slovakia
| Carrier | Service | Small parcel | Medium parcel | Stated delivery time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SPS | To the door | €5.44 | €6.44 | Tomorrow |
| GLS | To a point or locker | €6.35 | €7.19 | Tomorrow |
| GLS | To the door | €6.35 | €7.19 | Tomorrow |
SPS (Slovak Parcel Service) was cheapest to the door. GLS cost €0.91 more for a small parcel and charged the same for its parcel shop as for the door, so in Slovakia the pickup point is a choice for the customer, not a discount.
What about Packeta?
Packeta is a common pickup option at Slovak checkouts. On its own site Packeta Slovakia lists 3,840 pickup points in Slovakia and 2,880 Z-BOX lockers. It is not on our Slovak rate card today, so we give no Packeta price here. If your customers ask for it, check Packeta’s own price list; the cheapest services we measured were SPS and GLS.
What is the cheapest way to send a parcel to Slovakia?
- From Germany or Austria, use UPS. It was the cheapest listed service from both, with DPD close behind from Germany.
- From the Netherlands, book DPD to the door, not the service point. On this lane the door was the cheaper option.
- Ship from inside Slovakia when you send more than a handful of parcels a month: the domestic price was a fraction of every cross-border one.
These service prices include the €0.85 platform fee; packing by a sender is separate. For repeated orders from local stock, see shipping to Slovakia without a warehouse. Compare storage, replenishment and any tax administration in that setup rather than treating a domestic label as the whole fulfilment cost.
The full route, with VAT and how Slovakia pairs with the Czech Republic, is in ship to Slovakia without a Slovak warehouse. The Czech side is in ship to the Czech Republic without a Czech warehouse.
